Whizzix USA is the sponsor of this program and is authorized to sponsor cultural-exchange teachers in the U.S. Whizzix USA is officially recognized by the U.S. Department of State as an Exchange Program Sponsor. International teachers participate in cross-cultural activities in schools and communities to enhance American students’ knowledge about foreign cultures and customs. Teachers then return home to share their increased knowledge of U.S. culture, customs, and teaching advancements with students in their own country. This promotes mutual understanding between people of the U.S. and other countries by enriching educational and cultural exchanges.

Whizzix USA works with foreign third-party agencies. Whizzix USA also works with any
domestic third party that charges a fee from the Exchange Visitor.

Participating cultural exchange teachers earn their salary from their schools. Salaries are
established by individual schools and school districts based upon degree level and years of
experience. Typically, salaries range from $50,000 to $85,000 per year.

This will vary depending on host school requirements and hire date. Usually, teachers join their
schools at the beginning of the school year. The expected relocation time will be announced
before or during the interview.

Before your interview, we will disclose the location where you will be working. Whizzix USA
operates in 12 states and will inform you of your location before the interview.

You may bring a spouse and any number of unmarried children under 21. Dependents may
travel to the U.S. after 180 days of your arrival.
Your spouse can work only with an Employment Authorization document (EAD) obtained from
USCIS (U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services).

Cultural exchange visitor teachers can teach for up to 3 academic years. An extension for up to
2 years may be requested, which can take 4-6 weeks for approval. Contact Whizzix USA at
least 120 days before the expiration of your program for extensions. Fees apply to all extension
requests.

The Certificate of Eligibility is the formal document for exchange visitor status. It permits
prospective exchange visitors to seek an interview at a U.S. Embassy or Consulate to obtain a
visa. The form provides details on position, salary, and program dates.

Contracts are typically offered for one academic year and renew based on performance, though
some schools offer three-year agreements renewed annually.

Living in the U.S. may mean a higher cost of living, so financial preparation is essential. Costs
vary across cities and states. Whizzix USA will provide cost-of-living tips and resources.

Traveling within the U.S. is encouraged. Vacation dates that fall outside school closures must be
approved by employers in advance.

Traveling outside the U.S. requires a signed Certificate of Eligibility form and a $60 fee to
Whizzix USA for validation. Submit this form at least three weeks before your departure.
